Epic Link:
As we build PMM we also need to make it easy to monitor Amazon RDS - without need to have yet another server which runs agents i.e. eliminate the requirement for an EC2 instance from which to run mysqld_exporter and qan-agent. One way we can do it is simply have an option to run one (or several) agents on PMM Server itself.
Whatever solution we choose we should have an interface (and API) feature simply allowing one to specify user details to start monitoring Amazon RDS instance.
