MySQL Connections graph breaks at tight resolution due to max_over_time()

      Description

      Hi,

      It uses max_over_time with interval which is not zoom friendly. Here is example - looking at 1 hours graph it works:

      Last 4 minutes it starts to show something funny

      Last one minute and it totally disapears

      Tasks

      1. Check with Prometheus/Grafana teams if there are alternatives to using our rate or irate approach to smoothing graphs when gaps in the metrics data exist
      2. Modify MySQL Connections graph to use max(max_over_time()) format in order to smooth gaps where data was not received by Prometheus
