    Description

      An umbrella task for development that must either happen before the feature-frozen Percona Server 8.0 version (RC or GA), either must be postponed to the next major release.

      The qualifying tasks are the new features and bugfixes that break backwards compatibility and thus cannot be implemented in a GA major release.

      Some of the linked tasks can be implemented on the 5.7 porting branch and don't have to wait for the 8.0 initial port.
