      Description

Our docs suggest when doing major upgrade with rpm you should stop the service, remove old packages and install new ones but currently if you try to do that for upgrading to 8.0 your custom config will be lost since 5.7 packages don't store the config on package remove (most probably it's not properly marked as config file as I think rpm does this automatically).

This situation appears for those systems where our recommendations to store configuration in /etc/percona-server.conf.d/ where ignored.
So it might be useful to document this warning that it is needed to store configuration before update.

Any other thoughts Tomislav Plavcic, Hrvoje Matijakovic
