      Description

      Steps to reproduce

      • Boot PS server with following configuration innodb-buffer-pool-size=24M. Use default for other configurations.
      • Run the following test-case.
      • Kill immediately on running the test-case.
      • Try to restart the server. The server will fail to start and emit the following output

      2019-11-07T10:27:01.003536Z 1 [Warning] [MY-011959] [InnoDB] Difficult to find free blocks in the buffer pool (9572 search iterations)! 0 failed attempts to flush a page! Consider increasing the buffer pool size. It is also possible that in your Unix version fsync is very slow, or completely frozen inside the OS kernel. Then upgrading to a newer version of your operating system may help. Look at the number of fsyncs in diagnostic info below. Pending flushes (fsync) log: 0; buffer pool: 0. 803 OS file reads, 4 OS file writes, 1 OS fsyncs. Starting InnoDB Monitor to print further diagnostics to the standard output.
